Private Lessons

Learn exactly what you want to at your own pace: basic papermaking, overbeaten pulps, translucency, working with plant fibers, shaped sheets, watermarking, surface texture, sculptural techniques, and more. Private and semi-private lessons start at $100/hour.

The well-equipped professional papermaking studio is located in North Portland. Equipment includes a Davis-Hodges 2 lb hollander beater, Western & Eastern moulds & deckles ranging in size from 8x10" up to 4’ x 6’, a hydraulic press, and a restraint drying system.
